One superhit and producers immediately start thinking of creating a franchise. So far we have had Housefull 2, and the Golmaal series reaping the benefits. A sequel to Dabangg is in the making and Kya Super Kool Hai Hum, sequel of the sex comedy Kya Kool Hai Hum is set to release.
The latest to join the gang is Rowdy Rahtore starring actors Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. According to a source, an announcement about the prequel to the film is likely to be made at the success party of the film that has done great business.
“The party is being held this Friday and the prequel will most probably be announced there,” says the source. Incidentally, with this film, Akshay has apparently joined the 100-crores club after the Khan trio, Salman, Shah Rukh, Aamir, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan.
Mumbai: The filming of ‘Dhoom: 3’ begins Friday and actor Uday Chopra is excited about the project.
"Today (Friday) `Dhoom 3` officially begins with a pooja at YRF (Yash Raj Films)... for me, it begins with a killer leg workout. Guess that`s my pooja," Uday tweeted.
Produced by his elder brother Aditya, the film is written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who had also scripted ‘Dhoom’ and ‘Dhoom 2’.
Aamir Khan will play anti-hero in the film, which also stars Katrina Kaif along with Abhishek Bachchan and Uday.
