Shirin Farhad Ki Nikal Padi Story

Every man's dream: an adult life in the midst of bras and panties. One look at a woman, and he knows her size. Reality check: Farhad Pastakiya, a 45-year-old golden-hearted Parsi bachelor working as a bra and panty salesman, has never found love. The only women in his life are his dominating mother Nargis and doting grandmother Siloo. The world has given up on him, but Farhad has never given up hope. One day a 34B walks into his shop, and it's love at first sight. Shirin Fugawala, a 40-year-old, bubbly, straightforward, Parsi trust secretary, is Farhad's soul mate, but destiny intervenes in the form of a demolished water tank. All hell brakes loose as Frahad's mother Nargis realizes that her son's dream girl is her sworn enemy.

Gangs of Wasseypur 2 Story

Wasseypur is no more the town that was once consumed by the raging war between Sardar Khan and Ramadhir Singh. It has spawned a new generation of money squandering lobbyists, turning into fool-hardy gangs overnight. With illegal profiteering through scrap trade auctions over the Internet, corrupt government officials, election rigging and hooliganism, the town got murkier. Everyone wanted alliance with the most powerful man of Wasseypur, Faizal Khan. His sole ambition however, is to annihilate Ramadhir Singh, the man with the grand scheme.

Gangs Of Wasseypur 2 is a fitting conclusion to this story of vengeance, which by now, is not just the family but also this town has come to inherit.

The pattern in films written by Imtiaz Ali is clear. Appealing locations, ill-fated love stories, characters with distinct traits and music you can take home.

Cocktail is no different. From hip cinematography to very believable performances and peppy music, Cocktail has it all.

For photographer Veronica (Deepika Padukone) who lives alone in London, every single day is one where she could go hog wild with alcohol, drugs and all that follows. From the looks of it, she could never get tired of it. When meek Meera (Diana Penty) moves in with her after being dumped by her husband Kunal (Randeep Hooda), a quick and uncanny friendship starts blossoming.

Enter Gautam Kapoor (Saif Ali Khan) who is in a no-strings-attached relationship with Veronica. When Meera and Gautam, who apparently hate each other, discover they could be in love, is when this cocktail starts giving you a kick.

The first half of Cocktail establishes the premise; it’s a fun, happy life, where song after song tells of how Veronica, Meera and Gautam are different personalities. But did we need one and a half hours for that? I don’t think so. What could have been effective in 120 minutes is stretched to 146. But songs like Tumhi Ho Bandhu, Daaru Desi and Jugni keep you good company. Pritam’s done a good job and with no plagiarism charges (so far), we mustn’t complain.
