Box Office Report - Carry On Jatta First Week Collection (Earnings). Carry On Jatta opened to an excellent response at the box office. It is the second highest opener in the history of Punjabi Cinema behind the all time blockbuster Jatt and Juliet.

The first day collections are bigger than Gippy Grewal’s last film Mirza – The Untold Story and Jihne Mera Dil Luteya. First Day All India collections are in the range of 68 Lacs (62 lacs in Punjab).

First Look - Sarsa Upcoming Punjabi Movie 2012

Check Out First Look Poster of Sarsa Upcoming Punjabi Action Movie. Bollywood actress Gul Panag makes her debut in Punjabi Cinema with a thriller titled "Sarsa" which is a film based on student politics in Punjab.

The film is being directed by Jatinder Mauhar of MITTI fame. Gul Panag is playing the lead in the film and will portray the character of 'Beant Kaur', a strong girl from a village, an anarchist who is not anti-establishment, but a progressive rebel. The title of the movie, Sarsa, as it suggests, has been inspired by the river Sarsa. This metaphorical representation is the symbol of upheavals in Punjab.

I loved the script of the film,” said the actor, adding: “It is a content heavy film with the right mix of entertainment and social message. I just had to do it. It speaks of how student politics is the microcosm for the bigger macrocosm of state politics. It also touches upon drugs, a problem very rampant in the youth of the state.”

The film’s cast includes some renowned actors from Punjab, such as Victor John, Yad Grewal, Manav Vij and Kartar Cheema, who plays a key character.
